Extra New Beginnings

Programs are hard to maintain. The motivation needed to maintain a program long term is difficult if not impossible when you haven't decided to give it your all. So how do you decide and when do you know that you have decided?

Here is the kicker, I don't think there is a magic formula. There is only one thing you need to do...and that is just keep doing it. Most poeple don't do much of anything, so even though you may stop over and over again, just start over and over again. One of these days it will become such a habit that it will become a part of your life that you can't stop.

So as I have said repeatedly, taking my own advice, I'll start over again.

Day 1: felt good must of the way however, hurt to run because of my condition.
Miles: 3.8

New Beginnings

It has been a long time since my last post. I have been exercising off-and-on for the past 5 months, but without any constancy. I have made a new year’s resolution to begin anew. My goal is still 261, but with a forgiveness factor. Let me explain…

I can’t seem to stick with my goals long-term, but I am not excited or motivated by a lesser, or less intense goal, so I have modified my expectations by simply cutting them in half, or said more specifically, I still have to exercise 5 days a week, but not 4 weeks a month, only 2 or 26 weeks a year. That way if I don’t reach my goal one week, all is not lost.

It’s a gimmick, I know, but it is worth trying.
Here is day one!

Again.
